LÜTZERATH – The internationalist youth festival started today under the slogan “Unite struggles – destroy capitalism!” in Lützerath, Rhineland.

The festival which attracted a lot of attention from all ecological, anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, leftist and feminist youth living in Germany, is celebrated today with a rich program. The festival area was decorated with banners and posters and there were many different places with different attractions to discover. In addition to various sports activities such as chess, tree climbing and volleyball, there were also special activities planned for children, and here the children’s face painting was particularly popular.

The Internationalist Youth Festival, which was held for the first time, started at 13:00 with a joint statement on behalf of “Make Rojava Green Again”, “Lützerath Lives” and “TekoJIN” began, will continue with various activities.

In the statement made on behalf of the three movements, the following message was given;

“The more we unite against capitalism, the more successful we will be. Of course, we will give the greatest answer against fascism within the framework of the struggle that we will lead and continue together.”

After the beginning of the festival, Viyan Amed made a statement on behalf of TCŞ and TekoJIN and concluded her speech with the slogan “Bijî Berxwedana Gerila” while declaring “All young people everywhere will be an organized response to fascism within the Werin Cenga Azadiyê campaign”.

After Viyan Amed’s speech, there was a march led by young people with torches and posters with Rêber Öcalan. The young people often shouted slogans such as “Bijî Berxwedana Gerîla” and “Bijî Serok APO”. After the march of the youth, a statement was made in the name of the European Women’s Movement after a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the revolution in Kurdistan in the person of all May martyrs. After the announcement, the festival continued with a video message.
